About the eventSt. Patrick’s Saturday Session
As part of the Home of St. Patrick Festival, experience the electrifying energy of ‘An Fuaim’, a rising star on the Irish music scene, as they take the stage at the Navan Centre & Fort on Saturday 16th March 2024 at 2:30pm for our Saturday session of music and spoken word.
‘An Fuaim’ are a whirlwind of talented young musicians and dancers from Portmór who have been winning competitions and captivating audiences throughout 2023. The band featured on the main stages of both the Lovestock Festival in Tuamgraney and the Lughnasadh festival in Navan alongside ‘The Bog Bodies’ and ‘Grainne Holland’ and were featured on BBC Radio Ulster, BBC Newsline and RTE, even more impressive given that the oldest band member is only 14 years old. So prepare to be blown away this St. Patrick’s weekend as they take you to a world of sonic energy blending traditional music and electric sounds to create a sound uniquely their own.
Also performing at our Saturday Session are talented young performers who will enchant you with performances of poetry and prose connecting you with the source of the Ecclesiastic Capital of Ireland.
